Established in 2002, the name “Blades” was chosen because it’s Silla’s family name, which fits perfect because we like to convey a family feel to our clientele.
We cater to each of our clients needs and encourage them to communicate with us for their perfect massage. Some clients may prefer back only, others may say "skip the feet". So when we say customize your massage – we mean it!

 Meet Silla...
Hi, I’m Silla. I would like to share a little bit about myself with the hope that you would find me, and what I have to offer, a fit for you. I once heard that “your passion will lead you to your destiny”. I am passionate about providing pain relief for my clients. Physical pain may cause disturbances in ones emotional well being. Likewise, emotional pain can lead to stress, which will ultimately lead to physical pain if left unattended. Easing or ridding someone of pain or stress with therapeutic massage, which no doubt improves their quality of life, is priceless.
Massage is second nature for me. It is truly my Gift from God. Blessing you, the client, with massage is my gift to Him. I am confident and comfortable with everything about it. I also realize that many people may be apprehensive to utilize massage for pain or stress relief. I will do my best to minimize those apprehensions from the time you schedule your appointment thru conclusion of your session.
At Blades, we’ve been honored to be voted runner up for best massage therapist in Des Moines for the past four years. This year, I was truly blessed to be voted by Des Moines Cityview readers as the Best Massage Therapist in Des Moines for 2012. WOW!! That make five years straight that our staff has been voted the Best of Des Moines. Rod & I want to thank our clients for their loyal support.

 Meet Rodney...
For over 25 years, I have personally utilized the benefits of massage to manage chronic neck and shoulder pain due to college football injuries. When I say, "I feel your pain," I really mean it!
I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since April of 2007. I have tremendous passion to help others relieve stress and pain. Nothing is more satisfying for me than to hear my clients say things like their headache is gone and their pain has been reduced. It's exciting to watch clients forget about their worries and leave with a smile on their face.
